Protecting Access. Preserving Care.

Safeguarding Access to Life-Saving Care for Medicare’s Most Vulnerable

Part B Access is a national coalition committed to protecting critical therapies and physician-administered treatments under Medicare Part B.

  • Advocacy

We represent the concerns of patients and providers on Capitol Hill and in state capitals—speaking directly to lawmakers, agencies, and stakeholders to protect access to care and oppose harmful policy shifts.

  • Policy Engagement

Through in-depth analysis, coalition letters, and formal responses, we engage with CMS, HHS, and congressional committees to influence regulatory and legislative decisions before they impact care delivery.

  • Education

We create accessible resources, data briefs, and messaging tools to help physicians, advocates, and policymakers understand the real-world implications of Medicare Part B reforms—and how to take action.

  • Coalition Building

By bringing together medical societies, advocacy groups, and thought leaders, we create a powerful, unified voice for sustainable Part B policy—stronger together than any single stakeholder alone.

Medicare Part B is a lifeline. We’re here to protect it.

Millions of Medicare beneficiaries depend on timely, physician-administered treatments for conditions like cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other serious illnesses.

But harmful policy proposals—ranging from reimbursement cuts to restrictive drug pricing models—are putting that access at risk. Part B Access exists to ensure these treatments remain affordable, accessible, and physician-guided—not dictated by short-term cost controls or one-size-fits-all policies.

  • For providers

    These changes threaten practice viability.

Cuts to reimbursement, complex pricing models, and rising administrative demands are pushing many practices—especially in rural areas—to the brink. When providers can’t afford to offer Part B therapies, patients lose access to timely, local care.

  • For patients

    These changes threaten survival.

Medicare beneficiaries relying on Part B treatments often face serious, life-threatening conditions. Delays or disruptions in care can lead to disease progression, instability, and in some cases, loss of life.

The Part B Access for Seniors and Physicians Coalition is opposed to harmful changes to Medicare Part B that would impact care for millions of seniors.

These changes risk:

  • Exacerbating Health Care Consolidation

Declining Medicare reimbursements have already led to the closure or consolidation of many oncology practices into hospital systems—making care more expensive and less convenient for patients. Future Medicare policies must avoid further fueling this trend.

  • Increasing Access Restrictions

Patients should not be forced to travel long distances, pay more out of pocket, or navigate unnecessary red tape just to receive treatments their physicians have deemed essential. Medicare should support—not block—timely access to care.

  • Decreasing Choice of Therapy

Part B therapies often serve patients with complex, hard-to-treat conditions. Many seniors have tried multiple medications before finding one that works. Restricting treatment options risks patient stability and inserts government into critical care decisions.

  • Stifling Innovation

Some of the most promising medical breakthroughs—especially in cancer care—are physician-administered therapies covered by Part B. Shortsighted policy changes could hinder the development and availability of these life-extending treatments.
